 New X58 UBER HIGH END - UD9 :D |
very, very nice result, but still another ES chip and ES board ontop of the standings.... |
retail cpu's will be clocking ok soon... the right mobo...right batch..and a little luck...and a little skill..its gonna fly... **some benchers gets trays of cpus..and gets to bin them...and they get to use vcore unimaginable for xtreme benching...of course they get leverage... i think this ud9 will be out soon...and i hope soon...i wanna see that mofo of a mobo...gigabyte is hinting good things to us lately soc cards..and now this... it'll be evga vs asus vs gigabyte.....more options :) |

Our next board?! It's looking good. |
r3e and ud9....have very good efficiency ....they might be our new boards :D i currently don't have an x58..these two are worth waiting for i guess :D |

newegg now cuts pricing..on the board...624$ now with a psu combo... i hate newegg but... oh well |
Even if it is the best thing thing sliced bread, at this price point it is insane ... way to late in the game for a 1366 soket flagship at 7 bills .... What is Giga thinking ..... |
 with a 980x combo... its only 1479.... |
Def. way to late in the game. |
yeah giga is crazy introducing this board so late and for twice the cost of comparable boards... Thanks, But I would rather have an SR-2 for $200 less :P |

I mean you need 2 x cpu that are more expensive than an 980X :p For sure UD9 is a great mobo . 2Ds are fast on it . 3D efficiency sucks though lol That's why I suppose hicookie benched 3Ds on UD7.....F%#^&#) NF200s :D |
i don't think its late... 990x in a couple of months... vtt increments are so much better than r3e.... vdimm increments are sooooo much better than r3e i'm liking the hotkeys... and the voltage stabilty..or should i say power delivery...is the best out there. |

has bad implrementation... 1.just using the dashboard is actually very tasking. controlling the xpower is not that easy. evga asus ang gigabyte have better implementation. 2. xpower had ocp at the input and output side<-- this fact alone tells me that they never thought of gulftowns loading at more that 500w. 3. ram clocking is the worst on this board...prolly mem ocp not sure looking at xpower records @ hwbot...after being released for months now. i'm still not impressed. |
I dont know what to think anymore, I go off of my brothers experiences now. I dont trust really any review site and or guys with company ties. :) Steponz doesnt like the Xpower so I wont get one E762 was proven so I bought one We used RIIIE at the asus event and I loved it Any one here ever use the ud7 or ud9? I with hold judgement until someone I trust plays with it. Maybe it is worth the money. |
the ud9 will drop in price eventually.... newegg just sucks at pricing... this one caught my eye real good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0aL9SmUsWA just watch how effortlessly he switched the cpu multiplier with 12threads... |

Thought I'd briefly sum up my UD9 thoughts here if case anyone is interested. First off, yeah it's significantly overpriced. If it were $30-$50 more than the classified 4 way it would be worth it but not at $624 or whatever it is now. Full disclosure, my board isn't retail and has a few minor differences, mostly power connectors. As to the secret bios issues, personally I don't believe in them. I have the E22 bios that Pro and Hicookie show off with, there isn't anything hugely special about it, in fact it's terrible for memory clocking, anything over ~1020 is unstable regardless of timings. Yes, it is slightly more efficient for Super Pi and arguably PiFast, 95% of the difference seems to be the CPU microcode ignore thing which is available on the R3E now. After about a few weeks on E22 I switched to retail bioses, F2-F4 and have been much happier since. It's a solid board all around, Bclk isn't at the same level as my E760 and there is a bit of latency from the NF200s but other than that, no real issues. Other thing worth mentioning is that it's a PITA to insulate, even with eraser. It's replaced the E760 as my go to board when I want to test a chip if that says anything. Still there is no way I'd pay $624 for one, the difference just isn't there in my opinion. |

thanks for the input deux :) are the retail boards moddable for the extra power connectors or it just straight up lacks them |
