ReverendMaynard 05-05-2010 06:20 AM

I always thought PCP&C was a no brainer for win.

So these aren't all that or something?

Seasonic builds are great.

Honda, it's the same PSU but a beefed up version of the 910 Silencer which is 100% Seasonic.

seasonic doesn't have a 950w....psu

ReverendMaynard 05-05-2010 06:31 AM

Just because they don't sell them, doesn't mean they don't make them.

the 910 silencer is seasonic...my bad :D

Neuromancer 05-05-2010 06:33 AM

Scuttlebutt is OCZ screwed up relations with seasonic hence the lack of avilability ofr PCP&C PSUs, and why the PCBs are showing up in seasonic built XFX PSUs

Specualtion is as HC pointed out.. Either Sirfa Z-Series or more likely IMHO CWT-DSG series. (Same as high end Corsair psus)

910 silencer is a Mseasonic M12 design IIRC

Perviously PCP&C has only used Seasonic and wintact.

EDIT: yup Seasonic to the bone

This is really looking familiar now. Nice clean soldering for a high end Seasonic build.

Hondacity 05-05-2010 06:44 AM

history ..yes they did use seasonic and wintact...but looking at the specs of the new mk series...all the specs don't match seasonics line up...

i guess we'll see more stuff in the coming weeks

MaadDaawg 05-05-2010 07:09 AM

Witchdoctor 05-05-2010 08:21 AM

LOL ... still limping along on my 750 quad and 650 Power Pack............ :ohcrap:

ReverendMaynard 05-05-2010 09:03 AM

I'll take my Revo 1050 Enermax any day :D Best PSU I've ever owned.

DrNip 05-05-2010 09:42 AM

I about went with an enermax but went with another toughpower as it was the best psu I ever owned. Now that I think about it, my toughpower, zalman and pc & power were all the best psu's I ever owned. All worked flawlessly.

voltage regulation isn't tight...ripple control is very good..but for fast load change...i prefer tighter voltage regulation....
