So what should I do ?

Get a ASUS Maximus V Gene Z77 or wait for the Extreme?

My gig mb crapped out and I need a mb to bench now cuz I moved my other gene z z68 to my gamer/main rig....

Splave 04-14-2012 02:53 AM

hard to say dom, I would go ASUS or MSI because we can get good support either way atleast software wise. its nice to have shammy in your corner too though. maybe too soon to tell which asus board

DOM 04-14-2012 06:48 AM

Well I know I'm never getting another gigabyte... This is the 2nd time its done this for no reason

And I never used a msi before just been asus and gigabyte mb's

But then I saw this this moring Open Box: ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z

I wanted to get a z77 and 3770k when they come out.... but is it just the cpu or mb that let's the 3rd gen ivy get high mem oc.....

DOM 04-15-2012 03:34 AM

im thinking the MSI Z77A-GD65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130643
