well guys, I dunno but i may have really hurt this card as under graphical load she starts to act wonky... but im just half a step from the top spot. so i put her to bed for the night and tomorrow i will see if shes got any more in her....

I still think I might need a gpu pot in the end and my funds are tapped for a bit now. Still goin to give it hell though. Hopefully my 4890's don't let me down!

Yeppers. The highest i have been able to achieve with my 260 is 81,805 and that is with a mult of 19, bclk of 221, lod tweaks as well as volt tuner. Think I am about tapped.

I've been able to bring it up to about 82,900 with dual cards, but I'm having trouble now. Seems kind of tough to get past 85k now lol, but I'm having fun on these runs learning a couple things about 3dmark01 while I'm at it.

NIP, think you are going to be dissapointed with the 4890s single card wise atleast. Im at 221x19 d3d LOD etc etc and all I can pull is 79k with card at 1033/1000 :) just a better bench for the green team

dude you need 775 for this bench I7 is of little use.... hell im barely behing reverend maynad by a lil over 100pts with a 4870 at 860 core

Muh I might get disappointed with the contest and them but I won't be disappointed in HWBot points I get from them which is really more what I got them for. :D

LOL Nah man no need to apologize I'm the idiot that's asking in the wrong place just seeing the HD4890 coming in to conversation makes me think about 3 of them and the performance since I can't find anything on the web with this data I'm kind of frustrating.

That's why I can't wait until nip get's his sapphires going. The scaling after two HD4870's was horrible and I'm hoping that it's different for the HD4890's. :argh:

I'll be back from a biz trip on Wednesday. I've already copied a pic that just about takes multi gpu, but I got a long way to go before I run out of options :confused5: Always wanted a dice/ln2 setup:D

I don't own any HD4870's the last ATI cards I owned were a pair of HD3870's well I still have one I gave the other one to my brother. My statement comes from looking at reviews over and over two HD4870's scale rather well adding a third or a single HD4870X2 and adding another HD4870 the scaling is hardly worth the effort.

Nvidia cards starting with the 8800GTX's started getting somewhat good when scaling three cards and the 200 series cards are doing rather well in TRI-SLI when partnered with core i7 processors, but I haven't seen good results on the ATI side of things. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would love to be wrong as I would like to get three HD4890's since they're so well priced ATM.

LMFAO. It was my last session. I had a bad mount on the pot and was fighting stability. Plus I was trying to run on the 266 strap with PL8 going for 5700mhz. Needless to say, I got better stabilty with lower vnb in the end. It was the bad mount that was killing me.

I think Goddy benches somewhere around that vnb though :confused3: But that is over 6600mhz :cool1:
