Still going to be a while for me also Dent. My gear is still all packed up in anticipation of my remodel. Things got stalled a bit due to the freakin shitty weather. We have so much snow i can't get a roll off in to toss out all the demolition. No sense in gutting the room with no place to toss the demo. Kind of sucks being at a standstill on this project. Then again the snowbanks are so high here that the LN2 truck couldn't even back up to my house to deliver it if i was benchin.
So i'm just hanging, doing some gaming and planning my next move. Kinda nice having time off from it all really. But the itch is growing and some withdrawals and starting to surface. Especially when Splaver starts throwing up scores like that.

my advice to you guys is to dump your 580s if you have em, direct CU pwns :) will be here when you guys get back!

Having a go at 3D, but haven't really got the cpu power to make it worthwhile, am hoping to get to know the limits of the various cards I've got, and then I'm doing a SB build for a friend, so will 'test' his build before I give it to him :p

Thanks, don't think it's fully maxed out, might try pushing the voltage a bit more (was at 1.125v for that run)
Might try pushing the cpu a little more aswell, have benched at 4.4 before.

Have been getting less than 30k in 05 which I thought was rather poor, (i7@4.2, 580@900/2200)
Looked at afterburner afterwards, seems like the card wasn't clocking properly for the 3rd test, remained at 2D clocks (400/800) :/
What version of afterburner will let me increase voltage for the 580?
Tried a couple, including a voltage unlock, but nothing seems to work? Am using inspector instead.
Or is afterburner just misreading clocks?
Tried to run it at stock, got pretty much the same score, because afterburner says that it stayed at 400/800 all the way through :/

05 is a cpu test though too so low cpu speed = low score

Did you go into the AB config file and change the enableofficialverclocking to 1 instead of 0? But yea as Splave said. 05 is highly cpu and uncore dependant.

did the PLL and mem+OCPmem, mods on this 580 lol a huge glob of sold jumped off the tip and splattered all over the mem controller area. Luckily it all chipped up pretty easy. Tested card and mods work. Will get it cold later

Fair enough, and no I haven't. What version of afterburner is best? Just the latest of the website? Used to use a beta which wasn't that widely available if I remember correctly?
XP, just daily at the moment, just trying to get a feel for the card and benches more than scores overall.

The enableunofficialoverclocking is for ATI cards.

AS for clock limits. I have a 580 and running the latet AB I can clock way higher than is stable and have Voltage unlocked.

You can always flash it with another BIOS also and use a tool like smartdoctor.

Oh.. for forcing 3D clocks you can do that in nvidia control panel too.

That card has the right bios on it for going cold. I wouldnt flash it. Just remembered i used nvidia inspector for clocks. I had the hard mod done for voltage.
