good luck guys you will really love the board. I only got to use it for a while but I could probably answer some question
|
Didn't get much done last night except for insulating and booting into windows. I actually got sidetracked reading the manual. Trying to get familiar with all the LED's - there's a lot of them and they seem to replace post codes when not using the laptop thingy. And a bunch of "clear CMOS" buttons on the board that aren't "clear CMOS".....
Be a few days before freezing. Gonna try out the laptop thingy and maximize fermi setup before the cold. Besides, I sold my HX1000 and am stuck with a single CPU plug 750 Silencer until my TPQ 1200 OC arrives tomorrow..... Very nice board design. LED's, buttons, voltage readouts, LN2 jumper, easy PCIE slot disabling,.....this thing takes a lot of Classified 762 stuff and makes it more accessible while benching and more user friendly. |
very well put :) find the q-flash button top left of the board?
Im glad they used switches not jumpers for the slots disabling. do you know what bios it shipped with? |

Didn't check the number, but the BIOS date mine shipped with was 3/31.
Only gripe I have so far is the limited real estate compared to the 762 (a nod to case users, I guess....). NB sink is too close to the first PCIE slot - gonna be super tight with thumbscrews and insulation on the backside of the card - and completely eliminate its use with some cards modded with supplemental caps. |
