Maybe the trim pot is going bad slowly.

could be, if so I can mail you a couple kal if you cant find them locally. Would be easy to pop new ones on if need be

Ah crapola!

That one that was acting up did its final episode. I mounted the pot on the wrong damned card. Sucker is good to go without the driver installed but once you install the driver "No Video". The other card is strong tho, shouldnt potted that sucker first. Bummer, this cascade's been running for going on 15 hours now, I think it can run while I prep the other card, x-'s fingers :) cuz we need about 40 more boints to pass the KGB.
