He was joking about the scale of your Rad to case in your freehand sketch. Your case would have to be only 9-10" long if a 3 fan rad overhangs it that much in the front and back :)

yep i am doing my side ways.
i just got some numbers, the case is 420mm long and height is 430mm, the rad height is 125mm and both rad is gonna be somewhere around 90~100mm apart, and they are 400mm long there is gonna have somewhere between 25~35mm sticking out for the tubes to come out. this is my first time modding ANYTHING for it's look, so kinda have alotta retarded questions... in the red square is where i monna be mostly be working with http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...0Water/drl.jpg here is a huge gap between the place where the motherboard install bay and the back of the case how do i get around that? or should i just drill it though, cuz i actually been getting sooo many (i am not goona say good ideas but) ideas that may just work great, instead of having to screw it from outside in, i can just stick a longer bolt and just have it there at all times, so when i wanna do anything with the rad i don't have to remove the motherboard everytime i can just unbolt it and be done with it. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...0Water/gap.jpg |
Still not finished :P
|
Don't make me go down there and kick your ass! :P :P :P
Should be done as soon as the tubes gets here tho. I already have the rig completely a part now and all the waterblocks are installed along with the heatsinks |
If I follow you right, drilling holes under the motherboard to hold the rad in place may make it easier. Doesn't that panel come off the case at all?
Thought occurred to me, why not just relocate your PSU to the top of the case and mount the rads in that space? Might need a few extensions, but :Dizzy: |

The tubes should be here tomorrow, by the time I get home till the time I HAVE to go to bed i have about 6hrs (that'll be local time 2300hr got traffic school Sat. 0800hr FML) should have enough time to get most of it done Gonna do some drilling when I get home in a little, it's freezing cold in Brentwood/Nashville area, and try my best to get the light in place. |
You B da man Kiki
37 degrees in Chicago today  |
We are 48F atm, but the wind + being the south seems a whole lot colder

That a fish tank in the background?
(in your avatar) |
I have no idea TBH that was my buddy's apartment, and we call him the little redneck :D
Here is some update after drilling some holes (yes MD free your mind think who ever the way you wanna :P) http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...er/photo-1.jpg Pretty much everything went REALLY well, before I started i accidentally scratched the fuck out of the case you can see right on top of my name there is some white lines. This is my first time so give me some feed backs (first time drilling with a drilling tool) |
Kiki, my mind is always free Bro... but nothing special comes to mind here :Dizzy:
Just a quick question though? If these are the first holes you ever drilled with a drilling tool, what tool did you use in the past to drill holes ? :D |
nvm....
back to the water rig...... This is my first "big" mod |
Is it me or the holes look off XD
I wish I had time to make a bulid :P |
Kick ass Kiki
|
Thanks MD,
Here is a newer pix of what the lights' gonna be look like Letting it sit overnight so it'll hold in a little better and just made another steak for myself :) got 5lb (6hrs ago), 2/3 of it it's gone there will be no more update from me anymore, NEED to get my ass on the homework...... http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ter/lights.jpg |
Awesome to see progress!
Nice work Tu ;) |
Thanks OCM :)

Kiki, what you going to uses as spacers to keep the fans off the outside of the case?
Looking good Bro  |
Look how happy I am!
Got a nice camera (it was on sale for $80 less than the marked price) http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/P1000016.jpg |

Here you go!
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1..._install_1.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1..._install_2.jpg Now for the last 2 hrs, I CAN NOT figure out why my pump is not pumping when it's in a closed system, like all the air isn't moving am I missing something? here is a few pictures of the rig.. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/P1000031.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/P1000032.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/P1000033.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...r/P1000034.jpg |
It's because you have more air than water in your loop. You need to keep tipping the case around and adding more water as the air is expelled. Those rads are still empty.
|
yeah, like tip it up 45 degrees or so, but with that amall resv it's gonna take you awhile.
Might consider going pump to CPU and then to so you don't have such a long unbroken water pathway. Might also help if you open the system before CAREFULLY filling the loop initially. Close loop means higher pressure. shit.. just lost a bunch of wisdom I had written down only for it to disapear into the etheric  If that is the little swiffty Resv, it looks like it should slip out of the bay. If so, take it out and open one of the unused ports that is blocked off as an air escape valve. Open it slightly so only a little air will get out. Obviously this should not be on on the bottom  Then Open another port completely and use that pour your coolant into the system. Fill as much water as you can that way then turn on the pump. Once the pump runs dry of coolant, turn it off. Repeat A LOT until the look is practially full. don't forget to tighten all losed caps on the two ports on the Swifty. Probably can use those to bleed the loop too :) You also might want to consider mounting a fill port on the top of the rig and running it to a "t" connector so you cna pour easier. If you're using a little swifty resv it's gonna be a bitch filling that loop  Looking real nice though dude :) |
another 2 cents :D
Looks like your going pump rad / gpu / rad / cpu/ resv / pump. You should really hit the CPU before you hit the GPU. Why not pump / cpu / rad / rad / GPU / resv / pump or pump / RAD / CPU / GPU / RAD / RAD / resv / pump Either one would shorten the amout of tubing which would increase the flow. That's long single loop. You way should work too, just more burden on the pump. looks bad ass the way it is though :D |

Just noticed you had some coolant in two of the outside hoses which means it had to have put at least some water throug the rads. Top rad will be the bitch cause it's higher than you resv. |

:D nusub Just realized, if you open a port on the resv to fill coolant, you don't need to crack one to drain air  Might be your best bet for bleeding though |
Thanks alot guys, I monna be working on this today all day, just got out of traffic school, kinda sucked cuz I really didn't learn anything (all my friends and family already went there and told me about it)
I'll keep you guys posted I already have my camera back as you all can tell. |
Not to sound liek a picker of nits, but judging by your phots.. you might want to try plugging it in!!!
LOL jk... Yeah totally have to fill, roll case around, fill roll case around... If you can pull the res out of the back of the bay area (or the front)... do so, lay the case on the rads (carefully) then you can leave teh res open why you fill and bleed. I like using extra tubing too, prevents kinking and also allows you to move stuff around when necessary. I thought my hair was long, it actually touches my ears now! |
I have a ponytail :P :D
|
I AM ABOUT TO SIT THIS SHIT ON FUCKING FIRE RIGHT NOW
For the last 3 hrs, I been trying to find out why in the fuck is this pos motherboard don't wanna boot when it's in a case. when I take it out it works fine, as soon as i put it in the case NOT SHIT WORKS It shows it's got power, and will try to start for a half sec then nothing At first i though there was a short somewhere and i pretty much taped a layer of shit on the bottom of the board and this motherfucker still ain't booting i am about to just take it out side have a meeting with me and my gun |
Now this board WILL NOT BOOT at all if there is a cpu in there
