thanks men, 5600 seems to be the ceiling on 25c air, taking it to the garage in a bit. its 5F out today. pretty crazy though the chip idles at 30c both cores hits 70c at 5.5 1.55v quite the delta

Its allllll chip guys, having gone through 4, this last one couldnt have been easier to clock. till I hit x54 which needed a bump in IO. IMO if you can pass 100x54 sky is the limit.

Anyone else having problems with Aquamark and SB? Wouldn't run at all on my Windows 7 and on two different XP installs it will run but gives me this error message at the end.

Also I can't set cores to infinity in task manager. Not that it matters because it won't run but says I don't have permission.

Also can't get the details tab to show in 01 like others had problems with on their Asus mobos. Pisses me off as I have two GPU's worth alot of boints and missing out on a total of 4 benches between the two.

Seems the new chip will do no better than the first. Still stuck at 5.3GHz no matter which mb. Only way I will invest more is to buy a known chip from one of you guys.

Aqua runs are at stock settings on cpu/gpu. Took out the direcpll.dll and works perfect now. Thanks. Still can't change priority or set to infinity in task manager.

I have a problem and it has been so long since I have done any 3d benches that I forget the work around. I can't access task manager when I run aquamark on my ati card. As soon as I start aqua I cntrl, alt and delete. I then click task manager and then aqua pops back up preventing me any access to the task manager to set my cores to infinity. It doesn't do that with my nvidia card.

can you control+esc or alt+tab out of aq3 then?

trying to milk this Q6600 this weekend for a few more boints than throwing in the e6600 for some more harware action

Looking at picking up a phase change. Nothing over the top cooling. Just something that will give me cooler temps throughout summer time. Dunno, still tossing the idea around. Might just invest in a triple rad and block and see where it gets me 1st. Then use my pot with dice but try to maintain temps around 0 to -30 at the most. That might actually be a wise idea. Take this chip to subzero 1st to see how she performs before I go drop $400-500 on a phase setup. Might not perform for shat that cold and be out all that money for nothing. :(

Single stager is nice. fast cold with out the disposable cooling sorce.

It is also nice to dial in setting in preperation for real cold.

Not sure how much cold will get you with P67 as mine is for a gamer..... so I never put it under cold ... But 2011 will be the monster where cold will be required I would imagine.

Runmc has a nice one for sell I was thinking of getting. He only lives in north Texas where I live in OKC and I can just drive to get it in no time. Made up my mine to buy the 1156 Asus Genie and slap it in this rig of mine with my 750. Then get me an ATX mobo when they drop again. Like I said though, I'm going to check this chip out 1st on DICE to see if that doesn't get the job done. One thing I do know is this chip was meant to bench, not just sit in a case and collect dust. :D

5770 HAWK hard modded. Going to see if I can't squuuuueze out a little more core on it than 1104. Afterburner just wasn't cutting it. :D Will know tonight.

holy sh1t, benching 3870 in 01...card at stock with just LOD 97.5k without run order 2600k at 5.5ghz. Thats good for 10th lol!
