I'm saving the new stuff for another day, but the info is certainly welcomed. I'm going to do as many of my 939 cpus as I can get to this time. More points.

EDIT: the list includes a 4200+, Opty152, Opty170, and hopefully get the FX-55 and 3700+ done too. It's all going to go very smoothly you see. So many WRs your heads will spin.;) Probably not, but hopefully a few more silvers.

Ugghhh...22 iterations in to superpi32M I get not exact in round....the cpu is weak. I have to go to bed it's 2 am. Probably be up later tomorrow night hopefully.:)

Thanks that will be np.

I have until tomorrow night to prepare anyways. I talked to the owner on the phone and he thought they had LN2 but they did not. So they are going to get some tomorrow and drop off 30 liters at my house. The owner had his driver going to get just 30 and drop it off, but the driver said you can't because that little tank will be half empty by the time it gets to my house. So he's taking the big tank and then fill the 30 at my house tomorrow about 4-5pm. Which is better I suppose.

I would not use that thermos. They are glass lined , and if pouring coffee into one can cause swelling and glass shattering, I cant imagine what a massive temp swing like LN2 would do.

I love them thermoses but they are fragile.

Neither of the thermoses are glass lined. They are steel inside and out I'm pretty sure....or at least they look steel inside and sound like steel when I drop something in.

i don't think they're steel..heehhe but rather aluminum.

Neuromancer 12-23-2010 05:55 AM

They are old and steel and are glass lined. I had one too. Poured in a pot of coffee one winter day and SHATTER.

I am referring to the green stanley brand one. I do not know about the other.

I can see the seam where the metal is joined/welded up the side of the interior of the Stanley thermos. I'm pretty positive it is not glass....perhaps you had a different one. Thanks for the warning just the same.;)

I use that green stanley one every session, carry on with confidence.

I got the stuff :cool3:

Insulation is done, some fans are setup, probe hole is drilled and probe installed, I have the BernzOmatic fatboy full of Map gas.

I think I'm ready to actually mount the pot.

Last minute advice?

Hondacity 12-23-2010 10:15 AM

use ceramique...

warm the pot to 30-40c...apply ceramique on the pot...so its soft like butter...

then mount on the cpu...
