WOW

Vantage and 3d06 scores almost the same :O

Freaking sweet. Are those benches all on stock GPUs???? INSANE!!!!

Gunslinger 10-12-2009 01:57 PM

Very nice dude.

Kal-EL 10-12-2009 09:46 PM

Thx guys, lets see if I can get 23 boints tonight to nudge out those hardware junkies at classicplatforms for a lil bit. :D

Rogue210 10-12-2009 10:18 PM

:clapping: GOOD LUCK!!!!!

sofos1990 10-12-2009 10:23 PM

GL mate!!!

2chesapeakes 10-12-2009 11:29 PM

I have been sitting back waiting for this. Very nice set up Kal. Can't wait to see what frozen GPU's will do.

Kal-EL 10-12-2009 11:42 PM

Thx Jeff, I'm pushin bro! 35160 in Vantage :D

But dammit, I'm gettin to HATE cold bugs!

Kal-EL 10-13-2009 12:17 AM

Anybody have cbb(s) move around in temp? +/- 20c?

Due to piss ant cold bugs and cold boot bugs at random temps, the game has been called temporarily, else the entire bancheto gets hip tossed out the office window. All the waiting for temps to drop to boot left unecessary condensation on the playing field.

The funniest observation I've made thusfar is using Ln2 at DICE temps has provided the best clocks to date on this setup. Yet, soon as I punch into the -100c land, things get squirly, voltages fluctuate all over the place and its generally a shitty go of it.

My plans right now are to pick up some DICE for the CPU, insulate the cards and dump shitloads of LN2 into them and see where that lands me on the ladder.

I did pick up some boints for the team and will continue working on my game. NOOB4LIFE :D

punx223 10-13-2009 05:06 AM

soups your cold bugs may move around some as your clock changes.

get used to a controlled pour to maintain a somewhat steady temp and you will be golden

classified has weird cbb issues around -40 to -60/70. Going lower than -70 should resolve them though. You have the jumper set for cold clocks, and mode 2 set inbios right? (assuming 762 has those options like 759/760).

It may also be an IMC coldbug on your cpu. try raising VTT voltages and see if that helps.

Kal-EL 10-13-2009 08:15 AM

The E762 is absent of the cooling mode in the bios and only has the x-jumper. On this particular board, especially last night, I've seen cb(s) and cbb(s) at exactly -42c and -73c, but not consistently. It will consistently bug at -110c on this board vs -120c on the E759.

The only variable change between motherboards is I'm running a heftier vtt on the E762 vs E759. The wierd thing is that arnt these cold bugs supposed to be cpu dependant rather than motherboard?

karmakazi 10-13-2009 08:45 AM

If it wont boot at a certain temp that is the board yes. Classi will have "boot holes" throughout the negative temp ranges. For instance mine will cbb from -20 to -62 lower than that is fine until you get to -91 and lower it cbb's. So I have the window of -62 to -92 I have to boot into, after that in windows Ive taken it as low as -140

Kal-EL 10-13-2009 08:49 AM

Yep, its wierd man, cuz it's bugged in windows at these sporatic temps, followed by a boot bug. It's just been too damned squirly and quite frankly it pissed me off. Haven't quit yet tho, just needed a breather before I went grape ape on the board.

I'm in my happy place now :D (bout to strap some 5870's to the board)

Neuromancer 10-13-2009 09:42 AM

LOL grape ape. You are old :)

Kal-EL 10-13-2009 10:42 AM

Meh, McGilla Gorrilla is old, lol.

I found the same thing with my 975 damn thing cold boots below -40 if I change a setting that requires a cold start. Small changes and it is not affected. I know it is a big temp range but between -60 and -90 is ok outside that and outcome is not predictable on my 975. I generally try and maintain -90 during a 3d run. I have never tried pouring multiple pots just the cpu. I know during a vantage or 06 run I am using a thermos plus with controlled pours to maintain temps. The sucky part is a pour at the end of one of the tests while temps are hovering at the cold bug range can blow the run to shit break out the heat gun or torch. Pouring LN2 during 3d runs is an art form as far as I am concerned. A heat gun or small torch will help bring the temps into range without much defrosting or moisture. I keep a high wattage heatgun plugged in and can generally get back into booting temp range in 20 to 30 seconds at the most. If I find I am really unstable I will let the temps come down to -30 before trying to change settings and rebooting.

Now once the urge to hip throw the board subsides kick that thing in all four of it's GPU nuts and break 36K

Yessir, will do, soon as I pick up a butane torch to add to the overclockers bag o tricks :D (Don't wanna plug anything else into my office, hehe)

When I say I'm busy, I MEAN IT!

Leave me along, I'm really busy atm :taunt:

Tryin to get all this insulation crap done :Dizzy: in a timely fashion.

looking good Kal!! I want to see some bot damage now!!

Kal-EL 10-22-2009 02:40 AM

Workin on it, but its gonna take alot of ln2 to master Bloomfield, a cascade would make it a breeze.

Had alot of fun chasing Chispy's score with the gpu's on air tonight. Came away with a meager 26627 3d06 single card gtx285.

Edit: hehe, well I'm tapped out of LN2 :D

karmakazi 10-22-2009 05:49 AM

tighten that ram up buddy!! some points to be gained there

2chesapeakes 10-22-2009 11:52 AM

Wish I could get either my 965 or 975 3d stable at those clock I know the 4870x2's have more in em. Keep pushin them clocks it's lookin good.

Nice. I see your chasing the #1 spot. You tried running Vista 32 to see what ya get?

Kal-EL 01-19-2010 03:19 AM

No, my vista partition corrupted :P

Chuchnit 01-19-2010 03:26 AM

Way to go brudder. You are in second spot in that category right behind K|ngp|n himself.

:dance::kneelsuckers:

Kal-EL 01-19-2010 03:57 AM

I blew thru a shit-ton of LN2 for about 3 hours, something was mis-firing today. Same clocks as yesterday were just a tinsy bit slow, wierd instability, bla bla bla bullshit.

Insticts tell me I've been pushing the board to frequently, it needs a week off, which is good cuz I'm out of LN2 and will have to get more before next weekend ;)

Also, maybe someone can comment, you guys remember the low voltages I was running at early on? 1.500 for 5.2ghz runs. Those seem to be gone with the wind, its a voltge whore now :D or maybe I'm the Voltage whore? whatever, it was fun and if the 5870 or 5970 was on teh bench, woa nelly, spankage in the boints. But, thats next weekend (or Wednesday, I could stop by the DICE dude's place for a binge run on multi-card )

thebanik 01-19-2010 04:46 AM

You are blowing it off on bot kal, go man go, so many benchmarks still left........

Thx bud, been nubbin it up lately but found a slight stride towards the end of the session. I believe there is a 5.3+ 3D stable clock in here somewhere.

DrNip 01-22-2010 11:15 AM

Killed it man. Nice clocks.

Kal-EL 01-22-2010 11:16 AM

not a bad session after all, I think I'll be ready for some 3d05 action at 5.4ghz in a couple hours.

Buckeye 01-22-2010 11:20 AM

Not bad man, nice clocking :)

Gutterz 01-22-2010 11:31 AM

4.4 dam nice.

marcam923 01-22-2010 11:31 AM

Very nice! :good:

I just missed Gomerlerz time, ughhh 4.05

marcam923 01-22-2010 11:56 AM

I need a new board  Maybe I should say a real board... 220blck limit sucks...
