I have before but normally no since its wrong most of the time anyway (uses outdated CPUz code IIRC)

OH man WD SOOOOO close to breaking into 4 seconds :)

Witchdoctor 12-17-2009 02:16 PM

It's coming I hope ..... waiting on a board

Chicken Patty 12-17-2009 03:41 PM

good run, bumped you up a spot :toast:

yeah the libraries actually makes your time slower in Wprime.

Chicken Patty 12-17-2009 03:42 PM

Here is a slightly better run for me, on AIR (Mega Shadow)

You gotta show him what's up then, where's the friendly competition at?

BTW, I really should consider going cold now, that I have a Phenom II instead of a i7. Don't those things love the extreme cold conditions?

Neuromancer 01-03-2010 08:42 AM

Yes they do indeed :)

Still wont get the crunching power you can with i7 though. I ntel has always been very good at linear processing

I agree with you, but the reason why I traded is because I think HT on a daily used PC is not the better choice. Overall the intel was very quick, but crapped at some things, gaming believe it or not was hindered a bit. YOu disable HT and you gain a few FPS's on most games I played. I think the AMD is just a better daily driver. I didnt have the money at the moment to do it, so I was able to find someone who wanted to trade. Couple of other things pissed me off about the platform, but not really significant to my decision.

WD, whats with the empty cpu description portion of wprime?
You realize that with this sorta efficiency, you could easily hit 4.700sec @ around 5050 or 5130mhz right? This puts you in the neighborhood of the world record for the 920's in wprime 32m.

Neuromancer 01-15-2010 07:38 AM

I thought maybe I was wrong when my jaw dropped seeing those times at that speed. Guess not if Kal pointed it out too :)

Very nice times WD

I am struggling with this chip to say the least ...... have trouble getting any higher than this ....... nothing I throw at it seems to work

Still working on it but have had very limited time since I got done with my bench station as work has been nutz and working on designing and building an SS for a team mate. Hoping to have some serious time to sit down with this sub zero in February.
I can post some pics of the SS build if anyone is intrested ... it is all going to happen on the 23rd somewhere in New Jersey ... thank god for GPS

Kal-EL 01-15-2010 08:55 AM

Of course we wanna see the build you nutterz! :D

Neuromancer 01-15-2010 09:05 AM

What part of Jersey? If it is South Jersey I might be able to pop in :)

Witchdoctor 01-15-2010 09:43 AM

I think it is near Newark ... I would have to look on a map to see what part that is in.
But I think it is closer to New York , but hey Jersey is not that big ?

I will post pics of the build .... you will get to see myself, Gunner & DeLiMo ...
and maybee even Neuromancer if he can make it ....
I will be taking the snaps all day ... I think the camera I am borrowing may even have video

Neuromancer 01-15-2010 12:20 PM

That sucks :( I don't have a license right now, so anything more than a 45 minute drive is too far LOL

Newark is about 2 hours away. (I am down by Atlantic City)

Witchdoctor 01-15-2010 02:26 PM

Ahh man bummer man it would of been cool to meet you.
