That thermometer is the one i've been using for the last year.

It is as quick as a fluke but when i goes beyond -99.9 it has no decimals.
Awesome Thermometer for the money paid.

Awesome. So the temp keeps dropping with no decimals, I can handle that. How far have you seen it down to?

crio 10-09-2010 11:18 AM

-196 with the proper thermocouple
With the cheap ones i use it shows max -169 but as i said it is due to the bad thermocouple

Well, I ordered the same one today. Will be using it for DICE. I sure hope it isn't a crap thermometer. :poopinghorse:

Well I got mine and it works great. I put it under my tongue and it said 97F. It seems like a pretty good thermometer. Now my block measures ~4C warmer than the coolant itself, which seems more likely. Blocks at -18C right now and stays close to that under normal use.

The probes seem kinda flimsy though and they were not easy to insert in the slots. No big deal.

Also got mine and the lowest I could get it to read with dice and acetone in the pot was -72c. It was with the pot on its own and not on a cpu so there was no load. If it stays consistent while dicing then I'll call it a good buy.
