I'm at 81K with a single card, but my real battle is breaking 84K with dual cards and hopefully more. You guys keep saying that core i7 shouldn't even be in this, but I'm not giving up yet.

core i7 kicks ass in this
but it sucks at nature which is the only 3D intense test in there

thats the trouble mate :(

if the nature caps were lower we would be on i7 for sure heh

Since 3dmark 06 seems better geared for single cards, wouldn't it be better if the single card category also had a gpu pot. It doesn't mean vince has to donate another pot, just maybe take one of the pots from prize 1 and give it to prize 2.

Don't forget guys, it was an i7 920 that won the single core class in the comp Vince ran.

No to both, Not what I was asking.... I was more or less asking which one are we going by the ORB, CPUz... or both combined because of turbo mode. The reason I asked is because i'm not sure if i'm actually running at 4.2 just because CPUz says I am, because it says 4.0 in the bios. Still learning all this stuff... still a Noob.:D

punx.... Thanks for just answering the question.thumbsup

I'm right there with ya bro... i7 is my choice to. I would use both but my 775 board don't want to work any better. Maybe i'll give it another shot but for now i'm on my i7 rig.
