crio we put up a hell of a fight on air :clapping: You sir are better than I. I can't figure out how you got your LL so high, so often. I tried so many run orders and such. Still no go on a consistant basis.

Your single and dual scores were insane. I would almost pay money to know how you pulled that single card off with the clocks. Congrats again.

hey 07-13-2009 09:17 AM

you've clearly intended to submit it as the format was followed etc and was submitted well before cut off time

what happened in the end?!?!?!

Youngpro made a valiant effort to get his post count requirement with less than two hours remaining in the competition. During his mad dash spamming effort he posted his score in the wrong section. This is not a big deal in the least, its easy to move it to the correct section.

The problem was that he was far short of the 50 post requirement when the contest ended and the thread was closed. He continued posting for almost 17 minutes after 2359 hours on July 12, 2009 to reach his 50 post count.

His score submitted was pure pwnage and he deserves props for that :clapping: but waiting till the last day to finally pm me about his forum activation e-mail that was lost was ultimately his undoing and delay.

dinos22 07-13-2009 04:18 PM

yeah thats fair enough
he does have a lot on his plate
i did remind him otherwise he wouldnt have known

i was gonna grab a GX2 but thought there is almost no chance of hitting 850 or so core on air to get nature cap........as i wasnt goin to LN2 it so i gave up in the end

oh wells James there is always next time i guess.......

I tried my 9800GX2 and it was not able to reach the clocks necessary to reach the nature limit. I beleive heat was my limiting factor. I was benching in 78F 65%RH and the entire system was on air.

This was my best run which I did not post due to trying to reach the number one spot. 91.5k link Compared to the 82K runs when I started this was a substantial jump in score. Now to find time to get this filled and have some high clock fun.

The trick with my LL was that i had second in my run and managed to boot 129pci-e.I also lowered the card freq to 731-1351 wich gave me better scores plus a special tweak given to me by billpeppas in GooC Greek qualifiers....You really gave a great fight.Send me a pm and i will tell you more about 01 and nvidia..

Chuchnit 07-14-2009 01:53 AM

You da man crio. PM coming down range :D

Congrats to the winners, and thank you Kal and the rest of OCA for showing NBOC hospitality and inspiring us to become better clockers :)

Cheers,

Rev

Thx Rev, NBOC!, you guys are awesome as well!
It's all about fostering the fever and driving each other to be better clockers.
Its also about networking, making friends and having a great time, and
pushing eachother to be better. Even if that pushing includes severe public ridicule, and ribbing fight12

Like someone recently told me at Classicplatorms.........."Supes, boints a lil low huh?" :rofl

As far as I'm concerned, we met 3 main goals with this competition:
1) Gained additional knowledge and prowess in 3D01
2) Had loads of fun, made new friends and brought the community a lil closer together
3) Put new hardware in the hands of deserving enthusiasts.
:good:
I hope that the next time I browse the main page of Hwbot.org, I'll find a boat load of new 3D01 submissions by members of our community. :D

I could not agree more! Even though I was not able to take part because all my good hardware was in RMA at that time it was sweet to watch the entire competition develop and share the 01 tricks as well. Now is there a team for the Summer Warz or not. He He!

I found it on ebay. It was under $600.00 with shipping. From what I nderstand a pressurized Dewar new would cast around $2,500.00. This one is listed 60L 59 usable. This is also heavy. The deward weighs 205Lbs when full.

Vivi 07-14-2009 07:33 AM

lol 2chesa.

your 91.5k run was done with the wrong driver, your car high should be 310 not 250ish, 173.16 should have been used. other than that you would have got a decent score

limpkorn 07-14-2009 09:34 PM

Definetely had lot of fun and learned a couple of things about my core i7 setup even though I had no chance it was well worth it.

Thanks overclockaholics for this awesome contest!

bluto 07-14-2009 10:11 PM

Had a lot of fun watchin you guys battle it out . Congrats to the winners and to those who found their inner 3D01 tweaker:clapping:

BustaH 07-14-2009 11:29 PM

Congrats to the winners what a great compo.

I feel the same way. I intentionally went to sleep early last night. It was either that, or stay up all night benching 01. :D

Kal-EL 07-16-2009 04:40 PM

Thx Jody, we appreciate it very much :toast:

punx223 07-16-2009 05:39 PM

Thanks jody that was really cool to do that

Kal-EL 07-16-2009 05:43 PM

My Favorite part? "Over the course of two six hour sessions, this system was beaten, abused, and downright throttled"

Chuchnit 07-16-2009 06:10 PM

Very nice blog Jody. Thanks for the support.

Kal-EL 07-16-2009 06:16 PM

HAHA, very nice Jody. I wonder what that card holds in it with 5ghz+ runs on that platform?

Cecil 07-22-2009 11:43 AM

I wanted to have compeated in this, but not much point when I only had a 4870 at the time. 79k wasnt going to cut it.

consider this a preview to the HWC review of the Blade kit. i was having issues getting the GPU to run the same clocks. only Nature wanted to run above 999MHz
this session...but even still, the score wasn't quite what i was hoping for.

Thats how I felt also Cecil but I gave it my best shot anyway. It gave me an excuse to throw a LN2 pot on my 280gtx for the first time and see what it could do.

Winning didn't matter to me, but playing in the game with my friends did ;)

That's why you rock Bill :clapping::clapping::clapping::good:

dinos22 07-22-2009 05:31 PM

nice one there jody
what were you hoping for roughly?

3oh6 07-22-2009 08:15 PM

to be honest, i wasn't really sure. i had never ran 01 at this high of CPU clocks on i7 before...but i thought 110K was going to come pretty easy
with the memory clocks and high uncore. i guess C2D is still the 01 boss for all out runs.

Kal-EL 07-22-2009 08:17 PM

After seeing what you guys got in the low clock challenge, I figured for some wicked high all out runs myself.

Did you re-adjust your tweaks at all or did they remain the same as the oc challenge?
