OK,
No software tweaks, just felling out the bios. Yesterday I tried one of the preset overclocking settings in the bios(no boot). So this AM I went off my memory, not sure why the auto settings really power the voltage on the CPU I think it was around 1.53v witch is way out of whack! Still relearning here......trying to get my hunger back

Nothing spectacular, just wanting to see if this setup is gimped or not as I'm not gonna build around it if it is. Bare in mind this is a fixed board and new memory(same as old stuff). So far so good, I will decrease room temps then good harder eventually...

Just the CPU for now, I either borked something or I have a cold boot issue at minus 65 degrees, using a heat gun to try and wake her up now..............Kept crashing at 5300Mhz. Code was 101 that's power low right? Edit booting at 5300 now, minus 42

Witchdoctor 03-13-2014 11:25 AM

what you using dice or LN2

the sandies don't need extreme cold, just get max multi and that is typically the lid, as far as i understand it with Sandies

OK
So I found this thread on over volting the GTX 780 DC II @ kingpincooling
http://kingpincooling.com/forum/show...?t=2346&page=2

But I need a little more help as it does not show how to use it in accordance with the RIVE board? I can solder in the 1K resistor, I think they said use the adjustable one? But they don't sow where it connects too? I just need someone to connect the dots for me.......................... Any help?
Thanks!

guys
I'm thinking of setting up a Ram Disc, is it practical for my set up? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, doing a re format. Gonna try to use the OverClock key see if I can get more out of these 780 TI's without having to hard mod them.
I read some where only advantage to a ram disc is for XP systems......

Witchdoctor 04-25-2014 12:51 PM

Not up on RAM Disk's

I think Duke had a set up a few years back for PCM05

He could probably shed some light on this

Freeze dem bitches

Not sure what you mean, Forcing? exspand on that for me? Also I'm gonna mess with the Over Clock Key for the first time, supposedly I can overvolt the PGU'S with it. Any pointers?

I've always been set to Gen3 as far as I know.
