Contacted Asus asking how much to repair, so I wait in aggravated mode.

The part itself might be damaged, or maybe something else got knocked loose (?)

1R0 752 D07

I am not up on my electronics training we have any EE's here?

1R0 means 1.0 micro henry R= 100KHz and also acts as the decimal point. so you know it is 1.0 R10 would be .10 micro henries, 752 means 750 mA and 20% tolerance... cant find any correlative data on the D07 rating though.

VLH201514-1R0 looks like the chip but only 80% sure

Sweet Shawn. Glad you got it fixed :) I had tried to repair items with broken legs before, it did not work for me.

Gutterz 02-17-2010 11:35 AM

this time I tried some flux on the R10. I cant believe it worked.

Neuromancer 02-17-2010 11:38 AM

were still trying to find the parts.

IF you have a MM Can you check the resistance on the part?

If it comes up at 7500 Ohms (I do not think it will) it is not a choke but a resistor. I doubt considering it, completely looks like a 3phase VRM wit hthe little fets there that it but in discussing this on another forum, and doing some research, I found that it could actually be a resistor instead of an inductor.
