Im still getting 50k less in Win7 32 compared to Xp32. Any Ideas whats wrong?

Did you turn aero theme off? I honestly haven't benched on win 7, but I know if that is enabled it eats up your vmem.

I don't have any suggestions as running in win 7 32 has always been slow for me. Karmakazi must have the secret to success.

Intersting, I thought windows 7 went to Basic visual theme automatically when running a game or a benchmark, always seemed to have done so for me...

Never paid attention buddy. I was just shooting from the hip there on that one. I use RTM for a while on the gaming setup, but never benched with it.

I can post screens later (im at work currently) comparing 5870 single card in xp32 vs 7 32. I gained about 12k in win7

My win 7 is a stock install no nlite or anything, vs my xp 3d os which is tweaked to the gills.

I only notice W7 switch the theme automatically for 3DMark 06.

I think it happens in all the Futuremark stuff...even Vantage..03,05,06

not for me, I just opened up vantage at least, still no change in theme.

I could be mistaken or just not looking at it right...

When i start any of the stuff Van, 03,05,06 a little box pops up at the bottom and says switching to basic....Does that happen with you?????

That's supposed to be normal with the Futuremark products, but it only happens with 3DMark 06 for me and that's it.

Works for me last time I ran it... (dont have a bench PC right now to test though)
