Well 8800 Ultra was a better card than the 9800 series (except the gx2) at an serious resolution wasn't it? IIRC it competed and bested (by a FPS or two) with the 285 at 2560x1600.

That is the last nice thing I will say about that $5 crack whore of a company. (My dismissal of green shit spans 10 years nuff said)

i got 24869 at 1030 core :Dizzy: but also with a 980

but they look good cuz of the cpu score isnt very high so if its with a 980 + 1300 core i would say cover 30k it should get

Neuromancer 08-29-2010 07:47 PM

Yeah.. I saw the CPU score on the 6000 review and was like what... please.

then I saw splaves cpu score and went.. H.S. its higher!!!

I would ASSUME this is not the new "6870" (new nomenclature excuded... going on current just adding a 6) but assume this is the 6970.

No way did ATI jump near 100% performance AND lower power.

In reality... what these screenies means is

a) wait and see

b) nVidia has to change their green diapers. nVidia might be the new AMD. (If they price their 6 month lineup correctly, doubtful since it is nVidia)

DOM 08-29-2010 07:57 PM

i went through the ss again an noticed in the heaven benchmark its a i7 930 @ stock

but well have to wait and see when they come out

AMD Radeon HD 6800 series might launch in 2011?
By Hilbert Hagedoorn, September 3, 2010 - 8:46 PM

A Polish tech site PCLab claims an AMD employee leaked information about the launch dates of upcoming Radeon HD 6000 series graphics cards. The site claims the Radeon HD 6000 series will be more than a minor refresh, and that the card will be more power efficient and be faster clock-for-clock than the current generation.

AMD will reportedly first release entry-level and mainstream Radeon HD 6000 graphics cards sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, but where it gets a little bit weird is that the dual-GPU Radeon HD 6970 will allegedly arrive first by Christmas 2010, with the Radeon HD 6800 cards to follow in early 2011.

Widespread rumours suggest that the first release is indeed a mainstream card - the Radeon HD 6700 series - on October 13th 2010. However, the schedules of the other HD 6800 and HD 6970 come as a surprise, especially the dual-GPU HD 6970 releasing before the HD 6800 series. Of course, the HD 6970 being a dual-GPU HD 6770 is also a possibility. The other cards in the family - HD 6500/6600/etc., are not mentioned explicitly, though it is implied they might release before the HD 6800 series.
