Nice man!

How did things go yesterday? Did you hit 38?

Kal-EL 12-21-2009 08:08 AM

I hit 37k at around 4.5ghz but I want my usual 4.72ghz vantage air clock that I normally get on the 759 board. The 762 apparently wants to play hard to get so that is my mission.

Ive heard some grumbles from people that the 762 doesnt clock as well for bloomfield. I imagine if you played with those QPI signal compensations you could make some headroom? Or are those for subzero only

Sometimes when boards have soooo many options, I think it just hinders performance for the majority. Because then unless you tweak them all you won't get what the board can deliver. Of course, for the peeps that have the knowledge and experience that shouldn't be that hard.

I think it could be that I don't have the x-jumper set to x-treme cold. If I recall correctly, it helps with the higher air clocks as well, which would make it my goof. But time will tell.

Headed out to fill the 35L and two 10L dewars :D

i7's seem to have very specific voltage ranges they like to work under which are different for every chip. Trial and error is the only way to figure it out, and from my observations, subzero and air clocking each have a different range.
