Wow these scores are getting intense! Wish I had a duo core setup to play with you guys. Now I feel left out. :scared:

It's fun, but getting very intense. I feel like I am always one step behind somebody of the caliber of crio. I think I got my tweaks and order down. Now I just gotta fine tune the system and find a damn IDE drive for some high pcie freq. I have benched at 120mhz on a sata drive before though. That's from boot.

You could go with a cheap 32GB SSD. I'm using a couple of Super Talent drives for my stuff. So far, they seem uneffected by 130MHz on pci-e

What kills you more than your 260's is i7. In all honesty my best i7 score wasn't 88007. It was 88143, but that was all she had. Maybe it had a little more with lower RTL's, but I wasn't waisting my time.

Did a few runs today... No better than 92.5k, but there's a Sunday as well. :)

That's what I said in the beginning that the dual core's will beat out the quads.

my goal is to win this thing with i7...if i get the Nature numbers where they need to be, it should be interesting. i am just not sure the cards have enough left in them to get nature up to the limits.

Well i7 took a top spot on K|ngp|n's contest. Granted he was on a SS running 5040mhz uncore

If I had 2- pots for my 260's as well as some RAM I feel I might have a chance.

You can take it since you can push the uncore on the SS. Not to mention your ram will for sure be dialed in to the max. :thumbsup:

yeah but even with high uncore i still need to get Nature up there. i am working with a GTX 260 and it is going to have to get cold to touch you guys up at 89K with this i7 setup. on air with the GPU i am in the 88.5K range...but Nature has plenty of room before 1200FPS cool2

I have no idea, how he got his nature soo high in Vince's comp (and with only one card).

With two cards (2 X GTX260's) I can't push past 1140fps, and thats with both cards running 1006/2016/1206.

ahhh crap, that doesn't boad well for me in my quest. i haven't ran two cards yet, still need to get my hands on a second one as i had planned. that might not work out so well either. might be time to warm up the old RE or 790i...i was really hoping to avoid that.

I had to move on to another project that is taking all my time now.

any one had an issue when overclocking the GTX 280 your score decreases in 3DMark 2001?

if i increase my clocks above stock (even 25mhz) my score drops about 10K points

heat is not an issue temps are 45c load 30c idle and im using a 1300W PSU

I have used EVGA precision tweaker and Rivatuner to OC and I have the same Issue

its just struggling to keep the clocks you gave it.

or something else is wrong

Not with mine.
Took it to 990 core and went over in Nature LOL

I did not use Riva except for the LOD tweak, all Ocing was done with the EVGA Precision and the EVGA vmod tool.
