Got it sorted though and gained about 6k IIRC.

Yah I can tell with that 2k theme. heh heh

Some day I will write the article.

Well.... I installed my drive with XP and did a single card run of 76130 so I guess XP is the OS for this bench. Still have no idea what y'all are doing with the LOD tweeks LMAO!

It seems all 3 of my 280's are fine... so that's good news, just that much difference in XP and Vista I guess.

RomDominance 06-24-2009 06:07 PM

I am benchin, not tweakin, lol. :flaminmad:

Jeffro64 06-24-2009 06:38 PM

Seems so for me also cause I have no tweeks LOL. I'm thinking about installing XP on my new i7 rig now just to see if it makes a difference. I just hit right under 80000 in this rig but I was at 4278Mhz with a single 280 so that won't qualify.

Are you overclocking your card at all Jeff?

Ohh let me know.. I am not a jiggaByte fan at all

I see that name tossed about a lot lately in places it should not be, and thinking of trying out a ultra budget setup for straight wrecking purposes...

despite what has been done on my setup I really do not like this ASUS board and its the last in a line of ASUS boards I do not like, that perform well. *wow go figure. (Gotta hate the ones you love?)

I really liked Abit, but there quality sucked, they did everythign else right IMHO...

DFI, loves running a chipset till it bleeds. unfortunately the do not seem to sell a board no matter how expensive that can it cool enough.

Biostar... hated it. But gotta give it props. Gave a board that thought need a reflash. Left it sit for 6 months and bedamned if it did not fire right back up...

VIA.. sweet VIA. held my first "sweet rig" (currently running my 3rd, second happened 2 months ago. 35ns at 500MHz ddr. Sweet popping VIA chipset, with a cheap shit hipro 400W "dual rail" psu that I modded to be a single to get my clawhammer replacement to boot after that sweet winnie...

Like old girlfriends that are just so fond in memory...

DFI is great if you dont mind a shitty bios

Asus is great if you just wanna throw it away if it breaks...

Biostar well read dfi comment except not as good of history

Via... ahh the good ole days...

Gigabyte... solid boards..... not quite so good power circuits

EVGA well i work there so "theyre the best boards ever" Disclaimer: I in no way intend taht toward any board except the X58... especially not toward 780i :rofl:rofl
