but got my MSI 9800gt and 8600gt only thing he was a smaoker and :confused2: they smell

so testing out the 8600 first :)

Reminds me of the 2900xt i bought... It's a winner, but smelled like maple syrup when I unpacked it... :laughing:

i cleaned them with alcohol they still smell but not as bad, but im not a smoker and hate the way they smell, it makes my tummy hurt :laughing:

okay i looked but didnt find any volt mods on the msi cards :wtfsign:

Are they non-reference? Typically the 9800gt mods are pretty much the same as teh 8800gt... non reference will ahve to mapped out by our mod guru's...

Get a few good pics of the controller chips and create a thread in the volt mod section. Someone will know where the data sheet is and how to read it. :thumbsup:

I finally got a little bench time and pulled a decent '03 .... after failing miserably at Vantage.

Looks like my "cherry" card isn't so cherry these days, but still managed 1220 core.
