Patch 01-05-2012 09:38 AM

Yes. Cold gives a little more but won't make a bad chip good.

Depends really, I was told that it doesnt set the multi till windows starts loading now instead of right before. So now you will get a BSOD or freeze during windows loading instead of blinking command prompt.

You can max CPU-z on air 2c2t around where you will max 6c12t for cpu tests on cold.

I just want a scaling platform back. I feel for you guys for having to deal with sandy bridge for a year lol, Ivy bridge prolly wont be better. Here is my pattern Buy chip from MC drive home, test, fail, sell on ebay repeat order. So far my first chip is the best chip comming in at 57xx mhz. found an extra 60mhz in a 8 degree window between -20 to -28c. Now I try every 5 degrees from -20 to -100 at blinky cursor disease. On a positive note Ln2 last ALOT longer than when I benched x58.

Has anyone noticed a pattern between the Malaysia an Costa Rica chips? I had 1 Maylay an it stopped at 5.1 an some change.

the last 5 2500ks I benched x55 x57 x54 x53 x54 all same batch all costa rica decent batch it seems

both of my 2500k's that were good (a 56x and a 5700 chip) were both costa rica.

had two malaysia chips and both were 51x chips....

the latin passion must be doing something to these chips.....

That's the only reason I wanna try mine on ln2 to play with the temp my ss evap temps are high -50c when garage is cold and low -50 when its in the 70+ F

I want that extra 60mhz would take me over 6ghz :P

you didn't sell that chip yet :Dizzy:

Whew. I'm beat. $1000 in LN2 over the last month. Many hours. Wish I were better at tweaking 03, but I can't complain about the Matrix clocks.

Time to do a massive hardware sell off and take a break from the global scene for a spell. Maybe do some casual AMD CPU benching with my birthday present. :)

Found the limit of the Matrix. Could complete 03 with 1625 core, but efficiency takes a big hit with those extra 10mhz. Very narrow benching range in Trolls: gets too warm for the core above -177, but coldbugs the memory below -182 when transitioning to Nature. Can't use more than 1.62v at temps that low or it cracks every time.
