Just "Turbo" alone gives the ssd confidence needed to run faster than before. I put "Turbo" on all my gear and can tell you it WORKS!

I'm going to wait for a few real reviews before passing any hard judgment but I'm not optimistic. I can only hope the that firmware is optimized for small random writes which is the weakest point of the other vertex drives.

270 MB/s read and 210 MB/s write

nice

Another thing to consider...

All they did was overclock the memory in hte hdd... this could lead to some great possibilities for us...

I've heard that there might be a slight possibility that these SSDs will actually be able to 'overclock' (from 180MHz bus to let's say 200MHz), has anyone else heard the same?

Would this require a modded firmware, or how would you go about this?

Probably via a modded firmware - but this requires either someone who can 'crack' it or some inside help from OCZ.

When I first heard it I thought it was just another rumor - but judging from OCZ's past with all these firmwares they gave the users to 'test', I actually think this might be possible.

It would be fun - overclocking the SSD
