Default Mushkin 3X2GB PC3-16000 Redlines's

Just picked up a set of these.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226058

Seem like really sweet modules waiting to receive them only to start testing them out.

I was kind of hindered by my previous set at 4.3Ghz prime stable and 4.4ghz benchmark stable, but I think I can get out of the chip 4.5 to 4.6 hopefully this ram will let me achieve at least 4.5ghz on my 920.

Anyone have any thoughts on these? I was hoping they come with Elpida Hyper IC chips, but who knows couldn't find much info on these I was kind of hoping for a review, but couldn't find one either I guess these must be fairly new.

I went for these over Dominator GT 1866mhs set I hope I didn't make the wrong move LOL.

Those are the same as the Ascent versions I had just a different heat spreader. I believe they are only Elipda though. Let me tell you now, that is a good thing as the hypers are dying left and right. I wish now that I hadn't sent mine back. Here was my thread I started on my set.

They were great overclockers.

Thanks again Nip! Just read over your review and it was very helpful. So how long after you got them did you find the bad stick?

All the sticks were good. None of them went bad. It was my HyperX's and Blades that shat themselves.

Ahh, must of misunderstood your thread.

So you just RMA'd the ram and picked up the blades? So would you have stuck with the Mushkins if you knew what you know now about the Elpidas?

At first you weren't satisfied with the results although they seem great IMO I guess I'm not as hardcore overclocker as I thought I was I'm just a regular Joe Blow overclocker

Funny my name is Joe, but I don't blow! lol

Well my RAM is here, don't think I'll have time to play with it today, but I'm sure excited to see what I can do with these bad boys!

Oh they were fine clocks and speeds just that damn overclockholic in me wanting more. If I knew now what I didn't know then about Hypers I would have stuck with them. All else fails I will be pickin a set back up I guess. Will have to see what my RMA's are about.
