Default Board or IMC issue?

Have a MSI Z68A-GD65 G3 sitting here, and hooked it up to get some SPi on.

2600K
OCZ 700W PSU
2x2GB Kingston Grey 2133 9-11-9-27-2T RAM

XP SP2 code base for OS

Install window, install chipset drivers, and off I went.

1866 9-9-9-1T runs no problem

1911 9-9-9-1T runs no problem

2133 9-11-9-2T not convergent or sqr errors

Went to all auto settings. (BIOS reports 1.34 Vcore 1.32Vtt and 1.63 vdimm)

Was using XMP profiles...

Installed SP3, then upped vdimm to 1.7

It passed once.

Tried upping BCLK to 102.4 (50 MHz jump on mem speed) it errors out again

1.75 vdimm still errors.

So.. not having a lot of familiarity with MSI boards, and seeing the ridiculously high VTT, is there something else I am missing? RAM passes memtest 4.2 (although memtest screen reports RAM as 910 MHz instead of 1066)

Waza seems to make the error occur sooner rather than later also

Sounds alot like the issues I'm having but with different mobo ram. I can't even run my ram at factory speeds.

Be sure to use the blue dimm slots (Dimm1 & Dimm3) on the MSI mb.

It's backwards from what Asus does.

Yeah I was using the right slots.

I dont have another 2133 set to test... but

I dropped the ram in my main system and with a little finangling ran 32M just fine.

My 1600 OCZ reapers, I clocked up to 2133 and failed. Now this might be that hte ram cant handle it but...

It runs faster and tighter than the kingstons on other multipliers.

Even tried 2133 10-10-10 and that still failed immediately.

Blending now, 15 minutes no sweat.
Going to have to switch CPUs around and make sure its not ths 2600K

SB mobo's are sometimes picky on the ram, some will work nice, other will work like crap

Thats awfully high ref voltage.

It was ONLY with superpi 32M BTW, both memtest and p95 blend passed hours of stability.

thanks for the tip though
