Default Nip/Tuck

Well I thought it was time to go ahead and start a thread on this little o machine I have been working on the past few weeks. It is a week or two a way from being complete. All it is lacking is RAM, which should be here in the next day or two and a GTX 580 which should come the 1st week of February. My goal was to build a machine little, compact and freaking powerful. I got tired of big, over the top cases. This case is just big enough to fit a GTX 580 and that is it. No room to spare. Enough talk time for a few pics.

Not going to reveal the case yet but here are a couple sneak peeks if you will. Had to throw some paint on the inside to make it match the outside of the case. Ya'll are free to guess what it is if you like.

And now for some pics of the mobo/CPU/RAM. The RAM is being switched out due to not being compatible. Too bad as I would have loved to run it.

Intel 2600k CPU
Asus Pro Micro Mobo
Samuel 17 CPU Cooler
Xigmatek XLF 120mm PWM Fan
Super Talent 2133 Cas 8 RAM

One more sneak peek of the case all painted up with black PCI slot covers. Two more Xigmatek XLF 120mm PWM Fans. Asus 24x DVD burner hidden up top there. Yes I painted it black too! ROFL

Clearance of PSU and CPU fan is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/2" - 3/4". Not much I tell ya. I am a little worried about this but have plans of either a Coolit or Corsair H60 watercooling setup if this is a problem.

Nice Nip

Looks a bit like some Brand Name PC cases from a while back. Early 2000 era IBM before they went all super SFF. IIRC

Looks pretty sweet. I just built a similar yet much less expensive box for someone that looked kind of like yours. Small black case and micro ASUS board with blue trim anyways.
