Default Can anything be done to revive a cpu?

Can you freeze it like you can memory sometimes......or bake it?

I've never seen a cpu just up and die prior to my Opty154 the other night. Have you?

How hot would be too hot to bake it at? That seems like it might do something.

Try this last:
Arc a 12v battery thru the chip
Make sure to take video

you can bake it or freeze it...i don't think it can help much though.

if you have identical cpus....what you can do is...set the vcore higher on the live cpu...then replace the live cpu..with the none booting cpu... hopefully you can boot. the vid setting on default bios is sometimes too low that some cpus can't boot at it.

The dead one is an Opty154 and I do not have another one, but Monday I will have a pair of Opty152s here and I think that is about as identical as they're going to get.

When you say turn the vcore up higher on the live one before putting the dead one in......like how high were you thinking?

Thanks for the idea.

It's in the freezer since last night and if that doesn't help, which I doubt it will, I'll probably try baking @ 185-225 for 10-15 minutes.

If that doesn't work, and Hondas idea doesn't work........and Kals idea doesn't work, then I guess it'll make a nice keychain or something.
