Got half way through benching my 3870X2 and my drive took a shit with about 50 boints worth of screen shots ......

Not to mention all my downloads and crap

rest of the shit I don't care about

any data recovery guru's around .......

I always have a flash drive in and save to that instead of HDD.

NTFS recover has been the best for me...

It does not recover file names though so can be a real pita to deal with.

I boot up with another hdd and grab the files off the borked one. Is the shit hdd just an OS corruption or like fully dead?

Yeah if the OS is just corrupt plug the HDD into another PC and snag what ya want off it.

I wish

just a data drive with 2 partitions for my OS bench drives witch are SSD's and it does not even show up ....... takes like 15 minutes for the system to boot when it is just connected ? tryied it in my grinder as well with the same result .........
Can this software deal with drives that are not detected by the OS or the BIOS for that matter as it does not show up their either ......... effin dead as a door nail

WD 500GB Black = FAIL

Drive is only a year old ......... POS

You have two choices.


Freezer method (put it in an airtight bag... first)

Or find the exact same HDD (down to firmware) and try swapping pcbs.

Yikes !!!

No Honda ....

had three independent drives

one for win7 and one for XP

this drive was partitioned in half to carry all programs and staorage for each opertating system

All I did is install a new OS .... All was kool installed bare minimum up[dates and benches ......... rebboted and bam it was gone with out a trace ..... now any computer it is hooked to won't even boot

No go on the recovery software ......... found all my good drives ...... LOL

this suck big time ..........

looing at setting up a mirror ....... just have to bite two drives now ...... an 500 hours of downloads ......

Any sugestions .... Supes was saying his Seagates were dropping like fly's some time back and WD can suck my dick ......... Sammy ? Hatachi ?

Can't swing a massive SSD or I would say good bye to mechanicals for life


The pain of it all ....... wish I was benching instead of dealing with shit ......
