Default Who's freezing their RAM?

Anybody?

If you are, how's it going?

If you're not, why not?

im not, risk is not proportionate to the reward. Also alot of cpu's cant keep up with the mem speed and cpu mhz being high. ( thats why you see allll the review threads with a 3.5ghz i7 and 1150 cas 6 ram)

Test to gain from the speed would be aq3/spi32m and pifast and I just dont think the gains are worth it. Kudos to the guys that do the extra work though!

rampot is with me..but haven't been using it...two fucked up reasons...

1. mobo sucks bios ...can't do 2:10 ratio.
2. ram don't support the mount..but i have found a mount support for the ramdominance pot..
3. aquamark is the only benchmark that will make this matter most. v2-v3 will help me here..(v2-v3 i know you're lurking LOL)
4. haven't mastered 32m yet....but i finally have my xp ready for testing. efficiency with stock ram speeds. multiple partitions...and services turned off. i need to practice right wazza settings.

I see what you're saying Splave.

But I wonder........

Since I splurged on some dom GT's everything just seems rosier. Easily running CL7 2000-2200 Mhz speeds makes all the other overclocking smooth as butter and helps scores across the board compared to the CL7 1800ish speeds I was running before.

When you start counting up the number of $500+ GPU's we've killed around here lately, what's a few hundred bucks for some RAM and/or boards?

I too have the ram pot, but haven't mounted it yet. Mainly because it represents a pretty huge PITA in waterproofing and insulating, restricts you to ONLY benching when you have LN2 in-house (which is pretty much all I do anyway ), and, it's another pot to pour - 2 or 3 already is stretching me pretty thin as it is

do plan on mounting it one day... I hope

In the meantime, it works well for keeping my F1 mounting pieces safe and segregated between benching sessions
