More details please. What ya got and more importantly what do you plan on gettin in the future. I have found it best in the past to prepare for the future so your not buying bigger and bigger PSU's when you get bigger and better hardware. I started with a 600w, then 700w, then 850w until finally i just got the 1200w. This was all within 1 1/2 years. Could have saved me a bunch of money if I would have just got the 1200w in the 1st place. What I would recommend is the Antec 1200w just on general principle.

Well I take it this is for your benching rig? There are two ways to go about this. Well three really. First, go ahead and buy a quality 1200w+ PSU that can handle about anything you throw at it. Second, if this is just for the i5 rig you are building you could go with a quality 750w - 950w unit. Third, you could just go ahead and buy two quality 1200w+ units to run muilitple PSU's for 4+core CPU's and multi VGA's with extreme cooling.

Really I guess we need the specs of the rig and budget that you have. I can't remember the top tier OEM makers right now so somebody else will have to fill you in. Go to Johnnyguru to see if any unit you're looking at has been reviewed. He's the best at it.

PSU isn't a place to skimp, she's lookin for somethign that will be bad ass across the platforms and save a lil pump for whatever comes next in hardware.
