Default XFX 5970 Black

I finally had some time and installed the 5970 Black...I had issues with the HIS5970 and sent it back to the egg today.
No issues with this card. No rebooting, grinding fan etc. etc. Then i noticed that there was no fan control at all..So I went on XFX site and downloaded the fan control bios and had to put it on a usb drive and flash it and WALA...Even though that is weird this is one sweet card...
I downloaded the overvolt tool which has 2 voltage settings.. I really know nothing about it yet so i set the card for what I had the HIS set at for 3D03.. I set the 2 voltage settings at half...1200 points more than the HIS.

I need to play with this some but I think they could be correct about 30% more...This was a freebie try and see card...I will never give it back...

I think I am going to sell the HIS when it comes since i paid for it and get another one of these.....
3D03 first run at 4.625 and low settings 817/1124 and half of each voltage setting.

I still have that error message in 06....Maybe i will reload the raid 0 and see if it goes away....

Yes I reinstalled 06 2 times...

I ran the same speed as the HIS... 4.625 and same ram speed.. same clocks 817/1124 I used the MSI with the HIS and the overvolt program with the Black..I only moved each setting half way up because i don't really understand it..it was actually about 1400 points higher...

I think the XFX could be correct about there 30% statement..In the hands of someone like you I am sure of it....I have only run 1 bench....I will try Vantage and 05 tom...

Don't get alot of extra's with the Black..Just get a code to get what you want from there site... You might see I had to Mod the inside drive bay just to get it in..I think the Black is about 1/2 inch shorter than the HIS. I know my lines look like chit water but it's not the fluid..It's just as blue as it ever was..It's the inside of the tygon lines and it isn't sludge..They are just stained for some reason....I actually replaced the lines once and they just turn...I am so embarrassed

I have to find it..I have it written down. I think it's in the HIS5970 thread...It is like a directx9 error that comes after the 2nd test..I read where futuremark doesn't have a fix for it yet..I loaded the directx9 from microsoft and it works but that really slows 3d06 down bigtime..The weird thing is it usually effects 05 also..That runs fine
