You could always just swap in a AIO liquid cooler. Might not be as effective on an open bench, but you move the giant tower out of the way. That will improve caseflow which is always a good thing.

Looks like you might even be able to top mount an h100 style unit.

It's either an e 760 or an e759, impossible to tell from the pic. The e762 was a clunky IMO.

The size of the cpu cooler is not a problem at this point guys...nothing is bearing against the NB. Another cpu cooling solution would do nothing for NB temps. I have never kept up with NB temps in the past so I have no idea if this is normal behaviour...the addition of the spot fan could only have been a positive.

Nope, I had several of those boards and the NB NEVER ran that hot

I'd guess the big air cooler is nudging the NB HS at a slight angle just enough to break contact. Water cool the board and your problems are over dude

or downsize your CPU cooler

Once again, there is no longer any contact. It is what it is for whatever reason. No, I will not be watercooling anything in this pc lol....if it can't run on it's own it will burn the frick up on it's own.

Tried Everest Kal, but no NB temp monitoring there either. I've asked Evga if temps of 55 degrees were normal after running a benchmark...awaiting a reply.

EDIT: Evga says that sounds about normal...also say they know of no software to monitor NB temps either...as long as under 100 degrees it's good to go.

50 sounds normal, I thought you were saying it was running at 100 degrees
