how is the cooling on the bridge? my 780i is like cooking turkey!
Oh yeah, it's hot. running raid through the SB makes it even hotter. It runs fine at stock clocks, so its destiny now is in my htpc. It's been a good board though. I really had to abuse her to get her in the condition she is in.

For the build:

HDD cage was extracted from an old Dell scissor case. I have extra slides on spare drives for quick-draw swapping.

The thermo is wired for ac and housed in a XBOX 360 dvd drive shell. It was the perfect size, and when the probe is not in use, it easily tucks away in the left side.

DVD rom is mounted with thumbscrews. I mounted L-brackets to the underside of the desk with springs to keep vibration down.

The PSU mount was made from another PSU, it's solid as a rock, and I fashioned an aluminum bracket so one thumbscrew holds it securely in place.

I measured out the top 10 holes with a motherboard, and used a punch to make the indentions for the drill. I picked a drill bit that was a tad smaller than a mobo standoff and drilled roughly deep enough to fit a standoff in. Stadoffs were driven in with a hammer.

The board standoffs are just 20 stainless mobo standoffs and 10 thumbscrews. As long as the surface mounts are driven in flat the standoffs line up perfectly (duh).

Marc designed the vinyl, and does excellent work! The logo on the corner is still visible with a board mounted (except classified x58), and I couldn't be happier.

I am working on a bracket to hold the pci-e cards in place, mounted to the top in the same fashion as the mobo.

Small bubbles formed after I rolled it on. I'm going to have fun working those out. It feels more like a rig than a desk with holes in it now.
Leave most of the bubbles, they should work themselves out after a little while, it happens with the vinyl on different surfaces.

Yeah, the vinyl is perfectly square, but it looks noob-cut in that pic. Looks like the camera is about to be taken behind the wood shed.
hahaha, just about fell outta my chair.

It does seem odd though, I mean the picture. Like out of round.

Yeah, the cam is an old 5mp beastie... I have a new camera, but have been using that old one since I can't seem to pry the new one out of the gf's hands long enough to actually use it.
