no man, SS first. Not sure about the sb-E, but the SB didn't do anything more on LN2 than it did on air. Figure SS should be a good place to start After I finish the quad sli runs I'll plant my 580 Lightning with the fatboy bolted to it onto the rig and then get the dewar filled

Coming down to the wire

Finally finished with the OS and now transitioning to the horsepower. Just updated the firmware on the OC Key and loaded new BIOS yesterday.

Have the SS hooked up.. nice and silent machine now all I gotta do is gently drop the 20lbs or so of quad sli into their slots and get ready to rock and roll. Probably today unless I get some work to do

Oh yeah... the waterblocks on the cards passed their 24 minute leak test : 24 hours my butt

Well, in all honesty, I don't think mine lasted 24 minutes either.. just fit into the narative : I DID however learn the almost hard way to always leak test before putting power to the board. Lots of little puddles that day, but no damage

Quad Sli slipped in like a hand into a glove, or, a foot into a sock if you prefer.

One minor problem... need extensions for the power cords from PSU2 to the cards... fortunately, I've got em somewhere

Thank you Kiki

Good news is I found the extensions for the six pin cables. Bad news is I couldn't find the 8 pin (think I sold them with the Thermaltake they came with).

Good news is, I did a little rearranging and got the cables to fit

In these pics everything is setup and connected. Now, I gotta remove all the power cords to the 3 cards on the left and use that PSU to fill and bleed the loop. Since that will get me to around when the wife comes home, looks like zero hour will be sometime tomorrow morning

Damn, hope it works as good as it looks

pretty sick dude.... yeah SB-E does not scale past -80C in most cases....

you will get to a temp where performance will actually decrease and even sorta stall but you have a slow mode switch on the board that as long as you have LN2 mode enabled will keep you from freezing during unloaded parts of benchmark
