I will have time to finish this when I get back from the mountains. Until that time just know that I was playing Texas chainsaw massacre with the other side of the case and some 16ga 50% perf SS using a high end rotary tool until about 4 this UHHH yesterday morning. Crap cutting stainless with a rotary tool takes time. I got peed at the case door and did some hacking and slashing with the angle grinder also

EDIT: never use a torch or plasma on these cases as they are prone to warp:( just keep the metal almost too hot to touch (140-180*)

No as it would not be appropriate (sparks everywhere safety glasses flying through the air) However I do have a Mill to set up soon and I have full unlimited access to a CNC burning table (I built the control unit cheap so I could use it as needed) as well as some limited water jet use time as well ( I think I rebuilt that whole damn machine so if you want video I can think up some neat crap)

EDIT: Got to get my TIG rig back up here at my shop as well then we can do some heavy metal modding.

For the sheet metal work on cheesy grade atx case steel I like to use a small reciprocating saw, if you have padded clamps to use it works really nice. Even an angle grinder will burn most of the cheap steel or beer can grade aluminum they use with cases typically.

Are you using the ducting just for a cold air setup at this point?

Nope this one will be all ambient air one side of the case will be open with a filtered between 2 pcs of perf SS and fans on the inside.

Here are some shots of the carnage of yesterday morning and the tools used. I really didn't have much to worry about to a point with the warping as there is not much left of the side:

Actually all ducting is going to be used in a 100% hand made multi cooled rig. I will be sacrificing an AC, making SS cold plates for attaching to the coils and using welding coolant. Probably make my own water blocks as I have a concept for a custom setup for a decapped CPU.
