Gears of war 3 is scheduled to come out 3 days from now. My daughter took my xb0x 360 when she moved out and uses it for her DVD player. Since she doesn't have cable, I'm hesitant to take the console back. so, if I want to play gears of war 3 I have to buy something.

If I go with a new Xbox the most cost effective way is the Gears of War 3 limited edition. A cheaper way out would be to buy my daughter an inexpensive blu ray player and take back my old outdated system

Obviously, I'm leaning towards the new limited edition, but, it's a ton of money just to play gears of war, and for the most part, I really dislike the console controllers and prefer gaming on the PC.
