Vaseline would go on easier I am sure.

Not a fan of the mess myself. But when I used eraser and LN2, I had to Vaseline my active DIMM slot. (Got a little moisture in it, a quick swipe of PJ, and it booted right up )

VASELINE AAAAAALLLLL THE WAY.
Reasons why ?

It's really easy & fast to apply and secure your board from any kind of moisture issues.
It also comes off pretty easy, let your board stand vertically with the socket on the bottom, and heat it up with a hair dryer and let the.... vaseline slip away.
Or if you're lazy to do that, just put the board in the oven upside-down for 5 minutes at 122-140F ( 50-60C ).

I've been through a hundred methods and components for board/vga insulation, and I finally sticked with the vas :p
Crio & sofo know how thorough I am with everything, especially with valuable to me hardware, and while the plastic conformal spray + neoprene foam insulation works great, vaseline is much better as it requires much less work to remove and have the board looking like brand new.
