looks great witchy. Like the threaded rod legs. If you go 3 legs across (6 total) you could turn the motherboard tray into 3 piece of either strap or box tube which would really reduce weight as well as leaving hte bottom of the board open for insulation or airflow

Yup they line up good from back to front. I am surprised no one has done it before (I have never seen it anyway) I did it to a lesser degree once on a desktop case build I tried... (plexiglass center with motherboard slightly raised.. sides were all wood and help PSU on one side HDDs on the other. Center under mobo was the ODD/FDD and the two sides doubled as monitor stands. It sucked but I may rehash it someday...

only pictures I could find of it

As you can see I did not go all the way back.. because I was raising it to fit ODD/FDD under neath the mobo and needed wiremanagement space...

Idea is sound though with a stiff enough piece...

I will try and draw something up and maybe have you build be one too

So this would be for an air or water system as the bottom of the board would be exsposed ???

Looks like it would be viable using 3/4" aluminum box channel but that shit is exspensive

11 bucks for 4'

Three rail design lined up with the board hole and I could hold them in on an aluminum carrage .... it would be light as hell .....

using 1/2" plywood on the bottom for HDD's, ROm and PS would not add hardly anything either .....

could even get some 3/16 aluminum sheet stack for the botton and take wood out of the equasion ..... you may have to ground this beast though as it would light you up if something ios touching ......

Got it today (who ever heard of UPS ground making it overnight?)
Painting now. I suck at painting, but its coming along ok. Doing 2-3 coats grey primer, 2-3 coats gloss black, and maybe a clear coat or two. Got some gloss white for the "OCA" stencil I made.
