I have used 2 MSI boards, Eclipse and the lower end Pro, same exact settings work on both the boards till 5148Mhz, so if you do need any help in settings give a holler........

These are the settings that worked on Eclipse and Pro-E.
This is mostly for air overclocking which took 920 to almost 4900Mhz.
When using DICE I had to play with only CPU Vcore and IOH Volts(NB Volts) (Though used DICE on 950, hence the bclk was almost the same achieved using 920 on air and 950 on DICE, which is around 232 max)
As have been mentioned many a times, dont use even multipliers, its strange but true, somehow these i7's dont like high bclk and even multipliers.
VTT is not NB volts, IOH vcore is NB volts. Below I am mentioning the volts that should set you up, try keeping uncore at lower settings, MSI boards are not classifieds and do not run stably at higher uncores. Though @ lower clocks I have been able to run them at around 3800 but my board has gone to the dogs and was not able to test them with subzero cooling with every thing turned up.
For vcore you can go till 1.58V safely(check volts at bottom of the bios page). Dram as much as your sticks can take. IOH till 1.55V is what I have tried(had to use DICE palettes on NB sink though)
CPU Core : .320V
QPI /VTT : .330V
CPU PLL : 1.88V
DRam : 1.65V
IOH : 1.280V
ICH : 1.5V
Hope this helps.

so by vcore your saying add .320?
if so i will try those out... im beginning to wonder if maybe it just doesnt like this 3x1 gb set... theyre elpida hyper 2000 mhz cas 8 but i cannot get them to run 2000 cas 9
I can get them to run 1600 cas 7
as for uncore ive been keeping it double of my dram.
ive heard the deal with the odd multi.... should i try running turbo at 20X for a 21x multi or 19x multi? even whne setting 19x multi, when i enable turbo i do see it still sets a 21x multi for turbo.

Yup add .320 to the VID, and if using DICE/LN2 then can add more depending on till what volts you wanna push...
As per my tests 1600 CL6-7-6 gives much better performance than 19xx CL7-8- and havent been able to run them higher even when trying CL8 or CL9.
I have seen Turbo boost of +2 multiplier only with 920 and not with the 950. The +2 multiplier would be active if only 1 core is loaded, so super pi is the only benchmark which gets benefited with the +2 multiplier, anything else and it drops to +1 multiplier......
Try running turbo with 20x multi.....
For uncore, double the Ram speed is the ideal way, but havent seen 4000 or more uncore on 920's on MSI's other than lucky noob?? or some other OCer from indonesia/sg, cant remember the name, so I guess its better you try running lower ram speed with tighter ram timings.....
btw x58 overclocking is so much more fun, so much to learn and understand, sadly all my mobos are either returned or broken, back to E8600 since last 1 month.......

I have looked but couldn't find what mobo you are running? I saw you make reference to MSI but there was no confirmation on you using one.
