Ok gotta start talking Asus here. I had a cpu-z of 6685mhz this am. But after i did the save validation file it bs'd on me and even though it did save the validation it won't submit. Running 35X 191 and I was at 1.87 vcore, 1.56 qpi (vtt in EVGA terms), PCIe was at 106, i had the cpu pll at 1.92 and i was running the ram and uncore real low to avoid any problems there. Ram voltage was 1.68. I can achieve this speed pretty much anytime i want but for some reason it just crashes when i try to save the validation file. It sounds to me like there is some little bump i need somewhere but i just can't figure out what it is. And i'm getting a litte annoyed. Any ideas? I've tried to bump the vcore but its still the same and more QPI (vtt) dosn't seem to help either. Am i running my VTT to high? Would more pcie help and how much more?

I've even dropped down to 6650mhz but i get the same problem.
Bench temps are at around -130 to -140
I'm on my Splaver bios settings.

Thx for posting this Dukester, RE3 boot up is emminant here.

Speaking losely cuz I've had 3 dewars filled with fail sauce, upping pce/mhz would relieve the slow mouse action when pushing blck on the 762 board (failure x2 now) so maybe it might help stability? pinch vdimm too, can't hurt till around 1.8vdimm me thinks.

I dunno, wanna puke at that cpu speed

1) That's crazy brave QPI imo. I've been scared to go above 1.475 after crippling my A0.
2) I run IOH at 1.35-1.4 regularly, but I have one of the weird good temp R3E's. Never seen NB temps in the 40's.
3) Try benching with internet access and submit your validation instead of saving it. On Cedar Mills I could always directly submit higher CPUz's than I could save to a hard drive.
