Real Temp for the Intel guys, there is a link on the page.
For the AMD guys, we are still figuring that out. We will decide by tonite when the background goes live.
Remember don't run any temp software during your tests, just for the screenshots.

So the contest hasn't officially started? Well started as submitting results goes. As far as temp program for Phenom II there isn't one. I read +15 but even at that my temps are are only 33 degrees which seems too cool for me. Without the adjustment I am sitting at 18 degrees.
Went ahead and ordered another PSU and 1156 mounting bracket for my TRUE 120 as I have a feeling my i3 will do me better in this. Should be here in a few days.

Probability high that I just killed the 980X due to a water leak.

sad to hear, but its better that a processor goes down instead of the board, easier and quicker I believe in US to get them RMAd, btw I hope it was not a golden CPU or something.....

FYI Banik, in the RealTemp folder there is a RealTempGT.exe, which will give temps for all 6 cores.
Here's my initial testing, Asus R3Gene, Win7, no tweaks.
We've got frost warnings for this area tonite.

Confirmed - cpu is trashed. Rma is out of the question...scorched pins will not fly. It will boot but all cores show 100c....
I do not know how losing a chip is better than losing a mb.
