meaning: The Gunslinger (Roland of Gilead) is the main character in the "Dark Tower" series by Stephen King. My avatar is from one of the book covers, and travels with me everywhere. The series is one of my all time favorites, of the hundreds of books I've read.
Killer awesome book Mike, I havent finished the series yet, but its got me hooked. Such a wild ride, its like LSD in book form.

And dude, you are THE MAN forliking Terry Goodkind. Probably my favorite author of all time. The sword of truth series I read from the first book starting whne I was like 14.

If you like the Sword of Truth series, you should read George R.R. Martin's series: A Song of Ice and Fire.

If you'd like I can send the books to you when I return your GPU pot.

There was another series of books out that closely mirrors the sword of truth story. Read them both when I was at sea in 2001

Anyone have a clue what the other series was called? Looks like one author found out what the author was writing and wrote his own story just like it.
