I have a Koolance v1 CPU pot. Supposed to be great on DICE but suck on LN2. Since I got my F1 there's really no reason to use it.... BUT.... came up with a thought that I'd like your feedback on.
First, I have a flat 2 x 2 piece of copper to put between my SS and the CPU like Supes suggested awhile back. At the same time, I bought a 1.5 inch round piece of copper that was supposed to be half inch thick - unfortunately it's only 1/2 in think on some parts, and 5/8ths on others. Don't think I can ever lap this piece of shit, BUT...
Back to the Koolance v1. This 1/2 round slug fits perfectly in the first ring in the middle of the Koolance pot. Think I'd have to create some way for the LN2 to flow through or around it, BUT ... wouldn't the added mass and conductivity potentially stabilize the temp variations that have plagued this pot ??
Just curious what you all might think. Will prolly end up selling it, BUT
