Kal, I'm thinking it's 83.275% but then, who's counting

I'll let you all know when I get it recorded and saved - there's a 75/25% chance I'll figure it out myself.... amazing things do happen

I think youtube supports more than AVI...

I see lots of youtube videos tagged (mp4, wmv etc)

edit: yes

Once you edit your video, make sure it's smaller than 2GB in size, in an acceptable file format, and less than 15 minutes unless you have permission to upload videos of unlimited duration.

WebM files - Vp8 video codec and Vorbis Audio codecs
.MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files - Typically supporting h264, mpeg4 video codecs, and AAC audio codec
.AVI - Many cameras output this format - typically the video codec is MJPEG and audio is PCM
.MPEGPS - Typically supporting MPEG2 video codec and MP2 audio
.WMV
.FLV - Adobe-FLV1 video codec, MP3 audio

For SD stuff rip at 480P and just use windows movie maker. Handbrake is also nice, and supports up to 8 threads

Of course it does.
I told him to rip it as AVI to avoid any kind of crappy video conversion from the cam's software.
Once he's done with ripping and any kind of editing, it's time to encode the video to h.264 via Mainconcept
