that cooler should do just fine Nip, the 212 is a bit flimsy, great dual core cooler but mediocre quad.

I use push/pull with two S-Flex 120mm btw, idle is around 37C load's close to 60C which is hot in AMD land.

Looks like a killer gaymer you are gonna have buddy. I would love to have pretty much the same setup but with some 4GB density memory. 2x4gb

I thought of going that route with the big o sticks of RAM but selection was weak. There was some Mushkin Ridgeback's but the heatspreaders looked like they would interfere with my V6 cooler.

Yep, selection is thin and its usually cheaper to buy two sets of 2x2gb that are higher bin.

^ That or less for me as well. I have seen no difference in online gaming with any overclock on the cpu.

OK boys and girls. Don't have much time to work on it tonight but got some wire concealing done as well as RAM and cooler installed.

The cooler wasn't hard at all to install like the turds that did the reviewing were saying. I just took it all the way apart, mounted and then put it back together. You can see the clearance issues you might run into if you have tall heatspeaders on your RAM. Also you can see how far out this cooler sticks. Will be coming close to hitting the side window. I love it though.

Never mind the 24 pin cable. Soon as the extension shows up it should be nicely tucked away. I had to do some fancy sata and usb cable tucking. Almost can't see them.

I have not seen any game recommending a 4GHz anything CPU for "best performance" (yet)

Long as your RES is high enough to stress the GPU, CPU only needs to supply info to it (basically)

I dont notice any difference between a dual core AMD phenII 3.2 and a Core i7 stock with my 4890 at 1920x1200 res...

Still CPU clocks good for other stuff.
