Smile REX gurus GTF in here!!

I need some help hitting 600+ fsb on the rex ...

I have 2 e8600 and both top out at exactly the same 5.75ghz because I cant get the bus speed higher.

Any key voltages or settings that I should know about?

Is it absolutely necessary to freeze the nb?

Any help is appreciated

Trying to remember but have you jacked with the gtlv lanes? I know tweaking those helped me. I never took it over 6 ghz so dunno about freezing the nb though I have seen many do this. Can you post up some of the settings you are using?

IIRC my board hits 600FSB with most settings to auto multi set to 7 play with NB volts and Vcore and possibly VTT. Also I found with 2 sticks of 2GB ram my board would max about the same as yours. 1 stick 1GB ram and 600 - 615FSB is not much a problem.

Oh lord, back into the world of 775 GTL lol!! I will get some settings in here once I get it up and running later. Just trying to better prepare as last time on 775 was a complete fail.

I'm fixing to be back down that street too next week when the Black Opps arrives. Kinda gotten spoiled on overclocking with the core iX platforms.

I can only imagine if you are wanting to get upwards of 6.5 GHZ that will require alot of NB volts and might require a pot. Then again I might just be full of it as I have never been that high. Good luck.
