Default 5870 test

Just got a hold of 3 of the Asus cards..Demo stuff..My pockets are not that deep...These are the best made and looking big cards i have ever seen..Don't have to worry about these bending on ya in a case even at 11 inches long..It seems all cards have there Futuremark test they like the best...I haven't tweaked the cards at all..Just wanted to see how they would run....Beat my 3D03 score with 2 4870x2's maxed at 4.600...Will try more things later...

These really are a major improvement as far as sound and temps over the 4870x2..Took 1 out and ran 2 for 3D06...2 of these beat my top
x2 and I havent choked the cards at all...Not really sure about tweaking the voltage but will figure it out...Kal? This is at 4.5

still running cards stock..Beat my 3D05 score with 2 of the 5870's.....Better than 2 of the 4870x2's...ran these at 4.600 with ease....Must try the voltage tweak and could use some advice before i blow these pretty things up...

Actually sending 2 of these to a friend at the forum..I am assured the 5890 will come after fermi...With the new bots ruling I will wait on those.I also can't fit the 5970 in my case..These just fit...Do you run that 5.0 on H20??? Just wondering...I can't get over 4.625...It could be me!!!!

OK!!!! 3D05
Raised the core and memory to 925/1255...The voltage tweak doesn't seem to do much..Maybe it's me!!!
I did also raise the CPU OC to 4.650..A big Thanks to 69_Goat for giving me some pointers on how to get more out of the P6T7..You were spot on...Never had it to 4.650 before...
Really wish I had talked to you before sending 2 of these to Canada...

Your welcome, LS. Glad to help out where I can.
If you go over to i4memory.com, EVA2000 is posting lots of info for OC'ing a w3570 on an ASUS P6T6 board, a very similar setup to what you have. He also posts lots of info for mem tweaking including all the sub timings.
For this 5870, you might want to try the new MSI Afterburner app. I've heard of good results with it, not only for these cards, but past gen cards as well.
