Default EVGA Intros X58 SLI Micro Motherboard

Heya guys,

I just came across this when browsing through the net.

http://www.techpowerup.com/98301/EVG...therboard.html

Do you think that it will be as good in OCing as classified ? It would be a good choice for me since i would not be wunning more than 2 GPUs...

Don't know if it will OC as good as the Classified but I like the small form factor. I have a few friends who only use these types of boards because they just don't like the full size cases and prefer the small box's as they take up much less space on the desk. Yup they actually do work on there machines

It's only been a short time that I have been able to convert them to Quad core CPU's and I know they would love the new Core I7 chips.

Depends on price tho as they are cheap suckers LOL

Pure speculation here but I think it would be a great mobo for a compact build.

Agreed! I think we all wish it would clock like the classified just for some dual card action!

Im not looking for a compact build, but i dont have much cash and theese boards (like asus "micro rampage" - dont know its name ) are cheaper than the full ATX factor...

I dont think it can overclock as well as the classified because its got an analog pwm and only one 8pin connector, but i do think it will still overclock very well like the vanilla X58.

Yes, but... EVGA perfected the analog PWM and then they hit a wall on the switching frequency and went digital and perfect that as well. Analog can be good, very good. And in many cases better than digital, but when you get to the classified and EVGA vaniall X58 each of them has nearly met the pinnacle of each technology's capabilities as far as we know.

It's going to be a great LAN party mobo that's for sure. You only need to take a 920 to 4ghz with a pair of GTX285's or even GTX295's for that matter to pwn any LAN party.
